#36DAYSOFTYPE 2023-2024
36 Days of Type was created in 2014 as a personal project by Nina Sans & Rafa Goicoechea, both graphic designers from Barcelona. Back then they decided to challenge themselves to create something new everyday, as a way to experiment new things by creating personal daily design challenges around typography and graphic design.
Those personal projects were the starting point, with the idea of inviting more people into the same challenge, and this is how the idea of 36 Days of Type was born: A 36 days celebration of typography and creativity, involving designers, visual artists and creatives from all fields in a global and simultaneous act of creativity around type and letterforms.

INTRO
36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their particular interpretation of the letters of the Latin alphabet.

As I started this challenge I decided to have different approaches to each letterform as a visual experiment while some designs have started based on the visual letterforms others have a conceptual approach based on the existing words that start wih the specific letter (such as P for Party!)

Moreover, this project is a testament to the power of art and design as catalysts for social change and collective consciousness.
Beyond the realm of aesthetics, our posters serve as visual ambassadors, sparking conversations, challenging perceptions, and inspiring action.
